Pokémon turns 30 and this Japanese booster box is the perfect way to enter the set to celebrate the 30th anniversary. 

Every card in a 30th Celebration pack is foil. There are no non-foil slots in all six cards in each pack, which is a departure from standard set construction and applies across the whole print run. Above the base cards sits FUR, a new rarity debuting with this set and illustrated by fan-favourite artist. Mew ex and Mewtwo ex carry the treatment inside the set, with further FUR cards distributed through the anniversary's boxed products.

The set's clearest anniversary statement is Pikachu. Thirty different Pikachu cards appear, each handled by a different illustrator, and one is guaranteed in every pack. That makes the box a structured hunt, the question is which of the thirty you pull.

Running alongside them are 30 cards chosen to represent the game's 30-year history, reissued under a dedicated special 30th Celebration treatment. Charizard is among them, as is Pikachu & Zekrom-GX from the Sun & Moon era.
